Introduction to Channel Films
 
Channel Films predominantly offers Art-House and Foriegn films from many leading Independent Distributors and Film Makers. We have specialized in this area of film for over 20 years and continue to do so over the digital delivery medium. Although we encode at a superior spec of 2mbps, picture quality is dependent upon the original source.

Please remember... when you pay for a film, a major proportion is going back to the licensor and in turn
the Producer. Whether we like it or not, the art of film is also a business! Our part in delivering
these films is completely un-subsidised and due revenues are returned to the Film Makers, enabling
them to continue in creating their Art.
Watching Films in your Web Browser
 
Like many Video-On demand services, Channel Films offers a Flash based web player for standard
viewing on your computer. You will need to run the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player and have a suitable broadband connection for the film to start playing after you hit the watch now/download button within your library area.

You have control over display and sound and can jump around within the limits of what’s been streamed
or downloaded.

All films rented or purchased are available in your Channel Films library area.

Requirements: Broadband connection, PC or MAC with Flash Player v10+ installed.
 
With the Channel Films Web Player you can;
  • watch films instantly as they download
  • watch films in the same High Quality as downloaded films
  • watch films on any operating system (mac, linux) that supports Adobe Flash.

Customer Support
 
The Channel Films support service initially comprises an automated Support Wizard designed to accurately capture information on the problems you experience. Our aim is to quickly help you through common issues, and provider configuration assistance/intervention if required.

PrePaid Credits
 
Channel Films offers a pre-pay credit scheme which in effect offers atleast 20% discount towards Bought or Rented films. By pre-paying £20 into your Channel Films account, we give you an extra £5 credit. This helps us with the burden of restrictive credit card processing charges associated with micro payments and helps gives you the best value.

We also like to think it engages us in a relationship with our online customers, just as we have with our Rental Shops' customer base over the last several years.

Whenever you Rent or Buy a film the cost is simply deducted from your credit balance.
