(The title taken from of a series of propaganda films that Frank Capra began making in 1942, with the aim of encouraging the American war effort against Nazism). Another shattering documentary that examines the extent to which the military-industrial complex not only profits from war, but also becomes a force that makes war happen (seen Zeitgeist?). The message being that, essentially, we fight because we have constructed a military-industrial complex that needs business. Declaring war opens up markets; from a purely financial point of view, it's like signing free trade agreements or negotiating tariffs. Directed by Eugene Jarecki.
