This is a portrait of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani who lived in squalor and died a relatively obscure figure of the Paris art scene in the early 20th century. At a time when modern art was flourishing in Paris we are led to believe he became insanely jealous of other Artists such as such as Diego Rivera, Jean Cocteau and especially Pablo Picasso. Infamous for his passion although a wayward drunk and a drug addict. Directed by Mick Davis and stirring performances from Andy Garcia, Elsa Zylberstein, Hippolyte Girardot, Omid Djalili, Eva Herzigova, Udo Kier, Miriam Margolyes. One of his portraits was recently sold for $80m!
